Yeah, we have the CARA system, where the kids run or swim during the week and then have meets on weekends. Looonnnggg meets. In the sun. Where your kid is doing something for about 5 minutes out of the 4 hours you’re there. Even the kids are bored.
So now we punt the meets. We do have to go to their gymnastics meets, though. Loooonnnnggg meets. But out of the sun.
yes, standing in the heat sucks. I didnt’ do it last year because I would have garren AND gavin wanting to go in the pool during practice and it would have been just too hard on me.
Now this year garren is old enough to do it, but it still sucks hard. But the kids love it so what am I gonna do?
ONly thing that bugs is when they require volunteer hours because it’s very tough for me to do that and watch the little ones.
They should let me pay extra and then they hire local teenagers.
