Did any of you have The New Book of Knowledge series of encyclopedias? Blue, with gold and silver lettering and design on the cover. I think about 22 volumes with annuals and stuff.
My cousin bought a set: I saw it when I went with Mom to his house to water his plants while he’s away. Oh, that brought back so many memories. We had them while in America and took them with us when we moved to Pakistan. I used them for a long time. Any time I’d get bored, I’d grab a volume and go through it. They were so good and so fun.
When I was leafing through a volume my cousin just got, I realized that despite the decades, the type, print, design, and layout were exactly the same!
When I have kids, I’m getting that set. (The series is geared towards kids.) Most likely, I’ll use it more than they would (if only because going through them bring back old memories.)
