PJ’s kids are a little weird

But, they’re easy to shop for.

haha, actually that’s not far from the truth.
I was in Maui with my oldest and there was a balloon guy at the hotel making animals for everyone and my son asked him to make a stick.

So, did he get his stick?

Ha, yes, he blew the balloon straight out, tied it and gave it to Graham. The balloon guy was hoping other kids would request sticks too. No such luck.

My brother asked for a shovel for his birthday when he was about four. My parents thought it was kind of funny so they bought him one.

The next day, he dug up the entire garden, roots and all, loaded it all into his little red wagon and tried to sell the stuff door to door in our neighborhood.

He wanted his own shovel because the tools in the garage were hung pretty high and he’d probably brain himself if he tried to take one down, so my parents always told him he couldn’t touch them.

He’d been asking for that shovel for weeks.

    Devious little bastard.

Another time he sold my football helmet to some kid for a quarter. That was fun explaining to my coach.

This is the same brother who has the treasure hunting business in Florida? Cuz I can totally see it if it’s him.

    Oh, the treasure hunting thing.

He made that up. Completely fooled me.

    Bastard.
